A Frankston man, 29, has been arrested after 32 taps and water meters were stolen in the Seaford, Frankston and Carrum Downs area.
The thefts allegedly occurred between February and May this year and Frankston Crime Investigation Unit arrested the man on July 28.
Police are seeking witnesses and believe there could be others involved.

February 2013:
Garden taps and (in some cases) the riser pipes are being stolen in the Seaford area, presumably to get the few dollars worth of copper.
Whilst it is difficult to lock your tap, people should probably try to hide it. It seems that garden taps hidden in foliage weren't found and so were left untouched.
