Footpath beside Woolworths, Seaford

It has now been installed - see 2nd Post below - just scroll down ....... ;)

Noting that the current footpath entry to Woolworths at Seaford from Seaford Rd is less than desirable (dotted orange in the image below), one of our members, designed a better layout, which we then sent to Cr Kris Bolam who submitted a Councillor Request.

This access point is very busy. It may have been designed to "primarily serve delivery trucks" but in practice is used by a large number of vehicles (shoppers and beachgoers alike).

This realignment will serve to enhance the area and encourage where to walk.
We understand this work will be undertaken in the near future.

This nicely complements a previous footpath installed at our request - http://www.seafordcc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=105

And .... it's done.

OK, it's not quite the way we wanted it, but there are utilities underground that needed to be accommodated.
We have also asked for some planting to further guide pedestrians.

Thank you, Frankston Council and Councillor Kris Bolam who picked up and channelled our request.
