Seaford Historical photos

Postby Noel Tudball » Wed Jun 03, 2015 2:56 pm

I was sent these - I hope you find them as interesting as I do. Please feel free to send me more .......

http://1945.melbourne/ This website is really cool - It is a "Google Maps" of Melbourne in 1945. The tree on our property isn't as old as it looks.
Just move to where you want to review, move in or out with the onscreen buttons or mouse wheel, then move the 1945 <--> slider left or right.

Is actually the "Rivera Outlet", somewhat North of the pier, which is a high-water diversion outlet installed in Seaford in the 1930s to reduce flooding.

Some Seaford photos of yesteryear sent in by the daughter "of the guy who did the brick work on their fish and chip shop" in the photo at source below.

It is thought that the black and white pic is from the 1930’s.

Thank you!
