Provide your FEEDBACK to FCC before Monday 21 September 2020.
Despite having requested details, we do not yet know what the following items entail:
- a grand rotunda
- public art piece
- large sun dial
We are told that the community will have the opportunity to comment later.
Some suggest that if the DELWP (the State Govt Dept controlling the foreshore) grants the requested approval on the scant parameters, it may then be too late to save the foreshore.
Residents have expressed concerns at the proposed actions with:
- little to no detail as yet
- no public consultation as yet
- "I am extremely disappointed with councillors"
- "I will take this into account when voting for council in October 2020"

====================
At the FCC Meeting on 14 Oct 2019, the above Motion was tabled and passed unanimously, with a slight change to the wording ("expanded use" was changed to "enhanced experience"). The intent and result appear to be unchanged.
