Greetings for the 2018 New Year!

Down’s Estate Community Project has had a great start to 2018. We have signed a 12 month licence with FCC which means we can plan various activities for the whole year. We also now have a much needed place to store our resources.

New locals are joining our food gardening team and we are harvesting quantities of summer vegetables and herbs which are shared among participants, donated to a Frankston community centre and sold to local organic vegie shops. With the funding from recent grants, we will be able to extend our gardens and we plan to incorporate indigenous bush foods also.

Gardening Bees January/ February:
***Every Saturday, 9-12pm at main gate entry and every 4th Sunday.

We greatly appreciate the support we are receiving from all those who want to see a flourishing community project at Down’s Estate.

Our FIRST AGM will be at Belvedere Community Centre on March 1, long table Pizza dinner outside from 6 -7.15pm and meeting at 7.30pm. All welcome! Come and find out what we have been doing. RSVP for AGM by Text/Call to Maureen on 0403 174 976 and mention if you have gluten free, vego or vegan preference.

Look forward to meeting you at DECP Garden, Seaford Farmers’ Market (8am - 1pm on the third Sunday of every month) or our AGM.
