See flyer below.

Each year the Mornington Peninsula community comes together for the annual Sleep in Your Car event. Gather your friends and family to experience one night without a home and raise the crucial funding to prevent and support young people from experiencing homelessness.

The event is in two components:

The Sleep Out: One Night Without Home

By registering to give up your home for one night, you can help someone else find theirs.
Take part at the community event. Elect to: Sleep In Your Car, Sleep Rough (under a large marquee) or even outside on couch!

Together we can work towards breaking the cycle of homelessness on the Mornington Peninsula.

The Community Event: Learn what it means to be experiencing homelessness

Prior to the Sleep Out, the community is invited to join us for the Community Event at Mornington Park - Schnapper Point Drive; learn what it means to be a young person experiencing homelessness on the Mornington Peninsula.

  • Hear stories from the frontlines
  • Learn from local service providers about resources available to people experiencing homelessness
  • See what you can do to support our young people doing it tough
  • Engage in "The Walk Without Home", a homelessness simulation developed by the Fusion Mornington Peninsula team. Interact with our Art Installation and local musicians around the narrative of the night. Reflect
Reflect on your dreams for young people doing it tough on the Mornington Peninsula
  • Enjoy food and coffee available for purchase

Entry is a $5 donation and free for participants registered to sleep out.

Please note: this is a drug and alcohol free event.
