FCC Think Big Community Forum "Round 2"

Postby Noel Tudball » Tue Mar 07, 2017 12:24 am

The Forum closes on 16 March 2017.

I recommend you read the Notes below before you start. They answer questions raised by many and will hopefully reduce confusion.

  1. “Round 1” was to discover and prioritize Frankston-wide items from residents
  2. “Round 2” is to prioritize Suburb/area-specific items. These are items related to suburbs/areas and were either mentioned online in November or were raised at the December 3 conference
  3. Go to http://www.frankston.vic.gov.au/thinkbig - if you get lost, just come back to this page (some of the pages don’t have a Back button)
  4. Click on your Suburb/area
  5. You get 1 vote for “Priorities” and 1 vote for “Share Your Vision”
  6. Click on the photo or “Get Involved” to access “Your Priorities” – you may need to login
  7. Browse the items and choose which one gets your first vote
  8. Click on “Share Your Vision” or “Get Involved” to access “Share Your Vision”
  9. Browse the items and choose which one gets your second vote
  10. Tell others
  11. Have a Bex and a lie-down ;)

Notes:
  1. You get 1 vote for “Your Priorities” and 1 vote for “Share Your Vision”
  2. Don't worry if you see duplicated items from the first round
  3. My advice would be not vote again for an item that is already in the original top 10
  4. The original top 10 will be in the final plan. These were decided via Think Big “Round 1” in November 2016 and discussed at the 3 December 2016 Conference at the Frankston Park Function Centre, e.g. Outdoor Cinema in Monterey Park (162 votes) and Down’s Estate (257 votes). Refer to this document prepared after the 3 December Conference – Think Big Frankston Community Conference Report - http://www.frankston.vic.gov.au/Our_Community/Community_Development/Think_Big_Frankston_City
  5. “Round 2” items are related to suburbs/areas and were either mentioned online in November or were raised at the 3 December conference
  6. The wording of these items is an exact copy of the words used: hence, “The Down's estate project has potential to fill gaps. It's about building resilience", even though we know it’s more than that
  7. We can't we add more ideas because the set period of time allocated this task has passed – you will need to wait for the next project to review residents’ priorities
  8. Once upon a time, FCC created Local Area Plans (LAPs) or Local Community Plans where local residents met with Council Officers to raise, discuss, develop and prioritise ideas - refer - Seaford: 2015 Local Community Plan (formerly LAP) - http://www.seafordcc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=136
