Have Your Say on protection of the Seaford Wetlands:
  1. Comment on the FCC Forum: until Friday 31 May 2019:
    https://oursay.org/frankston-strategic-planning/seafordwetlandsforum
  2. Share your suggested solutions with the SCC: SeafordCC@Gmail.com
See the report and background (recommendations are on Page 34):
https://www.frankston.vic.gov.au/Planning_and_Building/Planning/Strategic_Planning/Strategic_Planning_Projects/Seaford_Wetlands_Residential_Environs_Study

One item from the report provided by a consulting firm:
  • "… there is no need to change the local planning controls and no need to introduce additional controls for the land surrounding the Seaford Wetlands."
See above for several presentations to FCC meetings by the SCC.

You can also respond to FCC via:
  • Email: info@frankston.vic.gov.au
    or
  • Post:

    Frankston Planning and Environment Department
PO Box 490 FRANKSTON, VIC, 3199

Seaford Wetlands: no extra protection

Seaford Wetlands: no extra protection

One example from the report's recommendations:
"premature to seek the introduction of more restrictive planning provisions...".
If that attitude had been taken years ago we would have NO wetlands.
There is old adage about 'shutting the gate after the horse has bolted'.

Seaford Wetlands: no extra protection

Postby Noel Tudball » Fri Aug 23, 2019 12:19 am

Unfortunately, FCC PASSED this Motion without change on 12 August 2019, giving no extra protection to the Seaford Wetlands

Only one Councillor voted against it - the same one who initiated the Motion's deferral from 1 July 2019.

One item from the report provided by a consulting firm:
"… there is no need to change the local planning controls and no need to introduce additional controls for the land surrounding the Seaford Wetlands."
