Frankston Planning Scheme Review

The Frankston Planning Scheme is also known as MSS (Municipal Strategic Statement).
It is the overarching guideline for all other residential zones and DDOs (Design & Development Overlays).
It is reviewed every 3 years and should be referred to in conjunction with meeting State Govt’s plans for residential growth and other zones.

It is the first document that should be developed/reviewed.
It should dictate the future of the C95 amendment and the overall Housing Strategy.
Once again, the cart is pushing the horse, with FCC appearing to be continuing to work on the flawed C95 first.

Come and have your say at FCC's public consultation meeting.

"The Frankston Planning Scheme is a document that positions Frankston into the future as a thriving and desirable place to live, work and play."

A review of the Frankston Planning Scheme is underway and a draft report on findings and recommendations is now available for community feedback.

This document will form the background framework to any changes to the planning scheme in the ensuing stages of the review.

A public meeting is to be held to present the report and engage with the community in a discussion forum to follow.
