We first attended the Market in Sept 2014.
The use of this shared stall has grown to become a valuable opportunity for local community groups to network and share their own information & resources!
There is a standing invitation to other Community Groups to share our stall - just email us and you're in ! (space willing)
Refer Guidelines below.

The SCC has very gratefully accepted a stall at the Seaford Farmers' Market, which we will manage and share with other local community groups for networking and promotion of their services and activities. We attend to raise awareness of issues, gain support for SCC’s activities, have surveys completed, receive new issues and email addresses for our irregular Newsletters.
Melinda runs a free book club (https://www.facebook.com/123Read2Me), obtaining unwanted children's books and giving them to others, so the books are a giveaway / drawcard that attracts the punters (sorry, people) to our stall. People also drop off unwanted books for sharing with others.
Since our first stall at the September 2014 market, we shared the stall with:
- 123Read2Me - Free Community Book Program - https://www.facebook.com/123Read2Me
- Down's Estate Community Working Group - http://www.seafordcc.org/DECP
- Belvedere Community Centre - http://www.belvedere.org.au
- Seaford Housing Action Coalition (SHAC) - http://www.seafordcc.org/SHAC
- Kananook Creek Association - http://kananookcreekassociation.org/
- sporting clubs
- special interest / issue groups, and
- many others
If you know of any local (sporting, etc.) clubs that may be interested, please ask them to contact us and we’ll book them onto the stall.
Guidelines:
- local community groups are invited to apply to use the stall for networking and promotion of their services
- preference is given to groups that are local to Seaford
- acceptance of a group's application is decided on a case-by-case basis - participating groups are required to provide a suitable representative/s to attend or provide flyers/information for us to hand out for you
- we are required to ensure that the main walkway through the market is clear, so as to not impede visitors' access
- the Seaford Farmers' Market is held every 3rd Sunday of every month of the year
- the Seaford Community Committee stall is provided free of charge by Rotary
- setup starts at 7 am
- the market runs from 8 am – 1 pm
- the busiest time is between 10 and 12
- some regulars will attend, but your group will have “front of office” prominence
- feel free to bring items of interest to catch the eye of passersby, including handouts, flyers, posters, chalkboard, banner, sandwich board, etc.
- if you want to sell or give away anything we need to get approval from Frankston Rotary (this is so other stall holders who pay for their stall aren't missing out on business)
- SCC and Rotary reserve the right to determine appropriate displays and activities
