A timely reminder from the Kananook Creek Association that on Saturday 21st February 2015, a tiger snake was seen swimming in the Kananook Creek, just north of Beach Street. Snakes will also be in dunes, wetlands and other neighbouring areas, so please be aware of their potential presence. Remember that we are very much in peak snake season and the area we live in is part of their natural habitat. We need to exercise care not only in the creek reserve, but also in our own backyard. Pets should also be suitably looked after.
