Young Carer Camp for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Young People
MIFellowship are excited to be running a camp for young carers of a parent who has a Mental Illness. The camp is an opportunity for carers aged 13-17 years to have some time away on an all inclusive adventure camp in Gippsland. The camp is open to young people from across the South East region who have a parent with a diagnosed mental health condition and will focus on self care, resilience, confidence building and opportunities to spend time with other young people who have a shared experience of caring for a parent. It will be a great opportunity for some time away and lots of fun!
The camp will run from Monday 29th June returning Wednesday 1st July (first week of the school holidays)
Places are filling fast so please contact Michelle Murray, Indigenous Mental Health Worker, MI Fellowship Frankston on 9784 6800 to register and discuss further
Transport will be provided with the meeting place at the Frankston MIFellowship office, 45 Davey Street.
